ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Emma. I am a Chinese native speaker, who has been teaching and tutoring Chinese for more than one year. I have taught over 30 students and have finished more than 300 hours of classes since the start of my teaching journey. I am experienced in both one-to-one and one-to-more teaching, and is capable of catering different needs to students from any ages and background.

I personally like to learn new things every day during my free time. Therefore, meeting people who also love to learn and improve themseleves truly gets me excited. I cannot wait to share all my knowledge in learning Chinese with all my students.

(1) Teaching and interacting with people is one of my passions; (2) Enabling people to improve and succeed gives me huge sense of achievement; (3) It is a wonderful experience to meet students from all over the world, and talk about their life and their countries; (4) I enjoy talking with students in Chinese.

MY LESSON & TEACHING STYLE

I am patient and friendly, and am also attentive to students' questions and requirement. My students include kids, youth, teenagers and adults. Therefore, I customize my teaching approaches and prepare different mateiral for every student of mine.

Personalized Material

Different levels of textbooks are provided for students based on their requirement and language skills. During the lesson, videos are sometimes played as well to make learning more fun.

Free Trial Lesson

New students will receive a 25 minute trial lesson to do a level placement and define learning goals. Plans and homework will be layed out for the students to follow after class.

Flexible Schedule

Students can pick the day and time they would like to have a lesson. I always try and arrange my time accordingly to accomodate their schedule. Each lesson can span from 30 minutes to an hour.

HSK Test Preparation

Students who take HSK test will be provided with study guide and step-by-step study approach to garentee good results. They can also discuss any problems and difficulties during class.
